Dr Nicola Pronk

Nicola (Nicky) is a forensic psychologist who loves developing collaborative relationships with young people, adults, families and care teams to address complex challenges and enhance wellbeing.


Nicky has extensive experience working in a broad range of community and in-patient settings undertaking clinical and forensic assessment and intervention.   Much of her work has been with individuals and families presenting with complex mental health, social, behavioural and forensic difficulties including trauma responses, anxiety, mood difficulties, psychosis, substance use difficulties, developmental disorders, intellectual disability, acquired brain injury, personality disorder, protective concerns relating to babies, children and young people and their families, and various types of offending behaviour.   Nicky brings a strengths-based and trauma-informed lens to her work and utilises evidence-based approaches.  In addition, she has developed and delivered training and has a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.  Nicky is the current secretary of the APS College of Forensic Psychologists (Victorian Branch) and is a Board Approved Supervisor with AHPRA, with significant experience providing clinical supervision and support to psychology students, interns, peers and clinical teams.
